主讲人简介：

Moussa Sacko, MSc in Medical Parasitology (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and PhD (DBL-Institute forHealth Research Development, University of Copenhagen) hasmore than 20 years’ experience in research and control ofInfectious diseases. Currently he is the Head of Department of Diagnostic and biomedical Research at the INRSP and Coordinator of Neglected Tropical Diseases Research Programmme. He has conducted a number of rigorous research studies, including research and control in schistosomiasis and soil transmitted helminthiasis, filariasis and malaria. He has actively been involved in operational research as well as dissemination andtranslation into policy. These included: epidemiology, mapping of schistosomiasis and Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH), morbidityassessment, monitoring and evaluation. In addition under hissupervision his laboratory have conducted several other activities:evaluation of dipstick and its use at the district health centres fordiagnostic and treatment of urinary schistosomiasis, fieldevaluation of antigen detection for schistosomiasis, evaluation of feasibility of treatment of out of school aged children, evaluation of the efficacy of different anthelminthic drugs in the treatment ofSTH.
